i just passed my driving test and bought a new car ( yay !:D ) now i have 300 left over which im going to blow xD. i was going to wait until the end of the year to buy a ps3 but now that i have the money right here next to me its so tempting to just pop down to the shop ( in my new car :D ) and pick 1 up. sooo.. convince me to buy 1 =P.Convince Me
If you need convincing I suggest you save itConvince Me
Don't buy one until June 12. End of story. Nothing on the PS3 is worth it right now.

In all honesty, don't buy a console yet. Wait until you save up some more money (such as 200+ more bucks) and wait until the end of the year. Closely monitor what new games and features will be coming towards all 3 consoles. That's the good time to make your decision, since you'll have more money to buy games, along with the vast selection that came out in the year.
Just look at the games, if a few of them interest you enough to warrant a purchase now then I say get one. Otherwise, if you really like MGS4 I suggest you wait until the bundle comes out June 12th.

Its worth every single dollar
If the games interest you buy it. If not, then don't. Simple.Imo however. Wait till end this year. When all the big hitters are released for the platform. Untill then its not really worth it.

Of course I know it would look better on an HDTV and the text would be easier to read, but the games still look very good.
Have you played mass effect on a standard television? I have... it was almost impossible to read. If your standard television has any color bleeding whatsoever, text will be very hard to read.
I don't own a 360, but my friend from high school who does hasn't mentioned anything like that. I definitely see that this can be a problem though. But what you speak of has never been noticeable or detrimental enough to hurt the experience the game offers.
