The New Issue of mine gave it this score and they say it was repetative.
sucks to hear that .....square-enix needs to treat ff7 better than it has....dirge of cerberus was a jokeim still interested in crisis core thoughCrisis Core 7.75/10 from GameInformer
Oh dear. Well at least that still a good score, and it much better then DoC.
I'm sure its still a Great game.., have you seen the Summons... They Love Amazing for a handheld (comparable to wii games..)
woe that sucks. ill probably still get it though
I don`t trust gameinformer all that much anymore
Meh, don't care. It also got A,B,B from EGM.
What was the Famitzu score?
I'll be picking this one up.
woe that sucks. ill probably still get it though
7.75 isn't that bad of a score. I've got this game pre-ordered so I can't wait regardless.
The ff7 fans killed it. They kept screaming and whining for a sequel or anything relation to FF7, and now they have 2 sub-par forced relations to FF7. Personally i think FF7 isn't special at all and doesn't deserve a sequel more than any other FF, but hey, the fans want, and the fans get their forced sour milk, enjoy it.

Not a bad score, but not great either. Then again, I don't know how to take this. GI is usually dead-on with their scores, but every so often (PM:TTYD, No More Heroes) they just totally blow it.
really? game informer is generous too....weird...well wait for more i guess.
Case in point; the FF7 fanboy will keep a furious faith in his favourite game despite a rocky start and will not even stop to think that it may not be the amazing sequel to his favourite game he's been waiting for. Don't get too excited now, when this game doesn't do as well as you hope, you'll need your energy to demand more spin-offs.

I would be just happy if they released FF7 onto the sony store so I could play it on PSP... FFX/XII would be great too to see on the PSP too.. But thats hopeing too much.
Forgive me for poking some big holes in your argument, but first of all crisis core isn`t a ''sequel'', it's a prequel. Second; a ''rocky start'' wasn`t so apparent in Japan, didn't that game sell like crazy and got great reviews?
I don't know, did it? if everyone in Japan is like you, then i'm not surprised it sold and scored well. All i'm saying is that this is probably a back project with little focus on it, the real focus is on the next ORIGINAL final fantasy. Do you know the meaning of the word? It means they are doing something new that they are excited about, not being forced to do a tie-in by rabid fans who couldn't let go of a game with a perfectly good ending that sealed the deal on pretty much every existing possibility. Also, you do know it's called a JRPG for a reason right? It's because they will eat it up over there, but this new score means it simply isn't innovative or enticing enough to match the hype. Personally, i'm sick of JRPG's with mediocre combat and art ****, games like Lost Oddysee and Blue Dragon that do nothing new with their combat systems where all FF games have some major changes to the formula and sub systems that change up the game-play a large amount.
