The only thing that seems to hold it back is it's price which people seem to complain about until now but very soon when a price cut comes a lot of change will be happening.

well, you cant say its not catching up, it beat 360 in sales last year, and is i believe its beating it so far this year(not sure)
And nothing but disappointing games coming out as well, when I see other great titles (inlcuding Game of the Year 2007) on the Wii and well.... yea nothing I'm even close to being interested in on the PS3 that I can't get (sometimes with more content or running alot smoother) on the 360. After this holiday season I'll be able to pick up a Bluray player for $200 and thus give me no reason at all to get a PS3.
The PS3 has had 2 price cuts already. You can now buy the thing $200 cheaper than when it launched. People keep expecting more crazy price drops but it won't happen until the Holiday season. With the 360's MAJOR EU price drop, I expect it to hit the states in time for GTA4. When a 360 premium is $250-$299 I don't really think there will be much of a war left between the PS3 and 360.

It can fail to beat the 360 and Wii but people will still make threads that it could. Yeah and you could teach a dog to talk, still doesn't mean it's happening.

I don't see how it is at all better than the 360. The games are important to me not a blu-ray player. Plus most Sony games now are just trying to kill Halo's succsess.

The issue is that unless you're a classic sony franchise, you will never see the light of day on a game sales chart. The PS3 has had some awesome games. Uncharted would still be in the Top 10 if it was on 360/Wii. On the PS3 its like it never even got released.
