I recall reading an article about DMC 4 just a week before its release, and an editor at IGN or 1Up (don't remember which) said that ''casual'' DMC gamers will never beat Dante in the second fight, and calling it the hardest boss in videogame history. Hmm, is that right? Now being a DMC / NG fan I always found it funny that ''DMC only'' fans uses the word ''challenge/hard'' for describing the game play of DMC. DMC is all about fooling the enemy A.I. and using the dumbest and easiest technique to beat bosses and secret missions (Pandora box I'm looking at you). But anyway this is just another reason why Devil May Cry can't be the superior beat em up/action/adventure game:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytCOs81DoNs%26feature=relatedThis is a video of a boss fight on the 4th hardest difficulty setting in DMC 4 (Dante Must Die), the player using a cheap technique to beat ''the hardest boss'' in video game history in less than a minute. Enjoy. The A.I. in DMC 4 is laughable! LOL vide ...
Exploiting flaws in the design of bosses = Bad A.I?The A.I. in DMC 4 is laughable! LOL vide ...
Spoilers much?
That's why it's called ''Dante must Die''.
Have you actually tried to battle Dante? He is a lot harder than you think.
It's funny you mention that because two days ago I just beat that level with two tanks in NGS using the invisible wall glitch where I cannot be touched.
Yeah, there are cheap ways to beat bosses in NG as well.
Just thought I'd let you know: DMD is not the hardest difficulty.
Well, if you don't use any items then DMD is mostly harder than Hell or Hell. HoH's A.I is not as hard as DMD's.
Have you actually tried to battle Dante? He is a lot harder than you think.
Of course, he's hard if you don't know what youre doing.
No boss is hard once you got the strategy and practice experiance.
There's a cheap technique that works on a single boss, so the AI in DMC4 in general sucks? I fail to see the logic

Yeah, but it's still incredibly difficult during boss fights (mainly the Sanctus fight, because sometimes you never know when he's going to throw a little ball thing at you!). DMD did throw me a huge curve with the purple-aura/eye thing with the enemies. It makes them so much stronger it's ridiculous.
Exploiting flaws in the design of bosses = Bad A.I?
Not only bosses, but mission secrets, level design, normal enemies, but hey bosses are supposed to be the highlight right, so if there are problems with the A.I. patterns of bosses that will effect the overall game experience.
No boss is hard once you got the strategy and practice experiance.
I meant he's easy to beat. It's pretty simple, you just have to snatch him, dodgem, snatch again and Buster.
The first Sanctus ? Both versions are pretty much the same anyway. But yeah, at first I thought he was really annoying because he keeps running away, but after I learned how to beat him, he's also easy.True, SoS to DMD was harder than DH to SoS.
There's a cheap technique that works on a single boss, so the AI in DMC4 in general sucks? I fail to see the logic
This is just one great example of many cheap techniques that can be used in DMC 4. Like using Pandora Box reach places (mission mode) that clearly contradicts the level/mission design, I find that to be an unacceptable flaw in the game design (being intentionally incorporated in the game or not).
Hmm, there are ''cheap'' ways to beat every enemy in every game, but the cheapness in DMC is just stunning.
Let's see.NGS glitch- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYbLMOH_Uvs
NGS cheap tactics on VH difficulty, boss killed in 30 seconds- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YN1qZEVcfs%26NR=1Pretty quick finds on my part. I could find more if you want me to.
