Fun Fact: PS3 never did need an official ...

Clearing up the whole nonsence on how the PS3 never had a headset for online gaming thread.Ever since release, you could use any bluetooth headset or wired USB headset for your PS3. Your not limited by one type of headset. Wasn't that fun? Just clearing this up. =PFun Fact: PS3 never did need an official ...
Well, Sony is bringing out their own headset and it'll be bundled with Socom Confrontation or sold alone.Fun Fact: PS3 never did need an official ...
Well, Sony is bringing out their own headset and it'll be bundled with Socom Confrontation or sold alone.
That I did not know. I knew Warhawk was bundled with a headset. I don't think they need to bundle one with the game though.
people made a fuss because you had to pay a premium to get a bluetooth headset, and not all usb headsets work - i know that for a fact. 2 of mine wouldn't, one would. now Sony has a standard headset and a vehicle to bring it to a bunch of gamers. should have shipped with one, but this is better than nothing.
I doesnt need one, thats true.I hope, however, that by Sony putting out an ''Official'' headset, it will solve alot of the chat issues on PSN games. The quality of the chat volume can be all over the place, with some people almost inaudible and some people uncomfortably loud.A unified headset would be a plus, and it may encourage more players to actually buy/use the voice chat.

I hear a lot of bad things about headsets on the PS3.

So you're getting the Sony (not the so-so Jabra) headset for $20.

Yeah I never got why people dont have headsets!!! Its much better now but pre-warhawk days was hit and miss. I mean I'd be in rainbow or resistance and no one would have a mic. Now there are a lot of people with mics but not nearly enough. I would always joke with my friends on rainbow....Ps3- $600One copy of Rainbow Six Vegas-$60Being too cheap to buy a $20 USB headset.... freakin priceless....
i sell cell phones... and i get bluetooth headsets for free every few months.. i literally have about 20 bluetooth headsets... been in the mobile biz for a couple of years now... damn i should sell my old bluetooth headsets for dirt cheap lol
I hear a lot of bad things about headsets on the PS3.
Thats only MMotorola's. Plantronics and Jabra work well on the PS3
I wish they would release an official ''over the head'' design with a charging station. That'd be nice.
... from those that like to play commando( sometime it help but not all the time)...
Wait a sec. How do you know? Do you ask all the people you play with if they're wearing underwear? And how does this help?
I hear a lot of bad things about headsets on the PS3.
Yep, every now and then you get signal drops, same thing happens with the sixaxis, every now and then but not all the time.

The Jabra was weird. My neighbor got it with Warhawk and it worked better with his PC and phone than with his PS3.
